Christmas Poinsettia

I have never owned a poinsettia plant, but always loved the ones my mom would bring home from her piano recitals and other events. My sweet husband brought this home the other night, and it is HUGE!! Not sure I've seen one this big, but it surely adds to the christmas joy in our home!! Chandler is counting down the days until Santa Claus comes and his night time song is now always "Santa Claus is comin' to Town." I have to give credit to my sister Lauren for introducing and teaching that song to him. I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season as much as we are!!

Fun in the Fall

GET YOUR CACKLE ON!!!....We went with some friends to Gardner Village on their 'Witches Night Out' night. It was pretty amazing to see all the women dressing up like crazy and having the time of their lives! This first picture is just a small glimpse of what we saw. Their costumes were amazing and so creative. I felt so out of place because I hadn't dressed up. It was so crowded with witch hats and broomsticks! It truly got me in the Halloween mood.

I just love this time of year. And, I think I mentioned this in my post this time last year, but I just love that my mother gave birth to me 3 days before halloween. It just makes the fall even better!!!

Vroom-Vroom Birthday

Chandler had a birthday!!! He turned 3 on September 24th. I can't believe it's been three years since I birthed this child! Wynn and I were watching home videos of when Chandler was born and shortly after, and it brought tears to our eyes (yes, Wynn's too!) in realizing how much we love him, and am so grateful to have him as our son. Even though I have struggled at times, and definitely still have weaknesses in being a strict mommy, I am so grateful to be Chandler's mom and to have him as my constant buddy.

This boy is truly obsessed with race cars!!! and trucks, and motorcycles, and garbage trucks..pretty much ANYTHING that has wheels! We thought it would be fun to take him to Rocky Mountain Raceways and watch fast cars race! IT WAS A HIT!!! Chandler was a complete spazz almost the entire time. The evening we went, it was just drag racing, so he didn't get the full effect of cars racing around in a big circle, but he still loved it! One of Wynn's co workers from work happened to be racing his car that night, so we went and saw him afterwards and got a few pictures with Chandler in his fast red car.

We then had a family party eating Chandler's "race car cake" and enjoyed opening just a few more race cars!! Happy Birthday Chan-man!!

Drum Roll Please...

TADA!!! To rewind a few posts back, remember all the dirt we were surrounded with? well, it's gone!!!! and it will NEVER be missed!! We still have some landscaping to do around the house, but that will come in the future. I can't tell you enough how happy it makes us to drive up to a house that has a fence and grass!! It truly does make our house look so much better! Our next project is now washing all the dirt off of our windows! We have been patiently waiting for the grass buds to grow, and now we can finally go out and walk on our lawn. Wynn has been fertilizing it religiously, and with his latest mowing, I can say that our yard looks pretty darn good!!

Park City

Wow. I am so overdue for a new post. We have been enjoying our last few days of summer and have been playing lots! Over Labor Day weekend, my sister and her family came for a visit and it was so so fun to have them at our house. We loved every minute spent with them! We then headed to Park City this weekend for a little getaway with our good friends. We took Chandler on the Alpine Slide for the first time and loved it. He got to go twice! Once with me and one time with Wynn. We enjoyed staying at a nice resort with fun pools and had a great time.

One of the first things Chandler did when we got to our room was get stuck in the chair. BIG HEAD. SMALL BRAIN!! He was stuck for awhile and needed Wynn's help to yank him out.

Hard Work Continued

We are making some progress on our never-ending yard! Wynn has been working so hard on this and am so proud of him and for all the hard work he does. He reminds me several times after working a full day in the yard, that he will NEVER do this again! I agree with him 100%!!! Our next home WILL have a yard! I can say that we have learned a lot and grown from this experience, but can't wait until the finale of it all! Just this week, we got our beautiful fence in and it's amazing how much it adds to our home. We have also been prepping for hydro-seed that will hopefully be spread this next week. Wynn and I have spent several evenings together outside...picking rocks. I seriously despise rocks! It's nice to finally see a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel!!

The Crack

hmm...yer thinking. the crack? yes, it could mean several different things. Nope, it's not a crack in your head. Nope, it's not the crack in yer bum....but it IS a crack in the rocks! We went down to St. George over Memorial weekend to hang out with friends. We went to what is called 'the crack' that I guess is really popular. It is this hike through a really narrow path, and if you are just a little claustrophobic like me, it is kind of difficult. I had to tell myself that I would get through this just fine and alive! Wynn struggled through some parts of it that were so so narrow, he had to crouch down really low to get through it. But it was a perfect fit for Chandler. He loved it and kept saying "come on, mommy, come on." once we got through it the view was beautiful! We also went swimming and just enjoyed our small break from life!

The Fun Has Begun

YES! We are making progress on our beautiful land of dirt! Sadly, this is just the beginning and a small glimpse of what our lives will be like ALL SUMMER LONG! hopefully, by the end of this season we will have little seeds of grass! As a mother of a 2 year old, I am so so sick of our dirt yard. Of course, Chandler loves to go out and play in the dirt and collect rocks. You can imagine how much dirt tracks into my house. And I know I will be tracking in double the dirt this summer, but if it gets me grass, then bring it on! Chandler LOVED the big cement truck in our yard yesterday afternoon. He had to watch the entire time.

We added a whole new back patio, and then also extended our driveway. I'm so excited for both! I will post pictures of the patio once it's done drying. I can see just a small glimpse of how awesome it will be someday to have a yard! Next step: Sprinkler System.

Girls Night Out

On Monday, I went to see the Opera "Little Women" with my mother-in-law and two sister-in-laws, Kayla and Amanda. It was a fun evening out with just the gals. The Opera was very fun. I'm always amazed at the talent and work that goes into a musical performance. And how they make it look so easy! Their voices were amazing. Thanks Jan for the fun and memorable evening!

Another year gone by with..

KIEWIT. Another Kiewit District Meeting! this was our 3rd district meeting that we've attended. the first year we were still in school, but planning on taking the job. These years with Kiewit are flying by....maybe that's a good thing!:) The meeting was held in Tucson Arizona at a really nice resort surrounded by cacti and desert! I can't say that it was pretty, but the weather was fantastic! Grandma Jones came and stayed with Chandler while we were gone. It was a nice break for Wynn and I, but at the same time I felt really weird not having him with us. We ended up talking about him a ton, and admitted that we really missed him! We love our little boy. Thanks Jan for taking care of him!

Every year, they always have job presentations on all the jobs that Kiewit is doing and finished within the year. Wynn was asked to give the presentation for the Mtn. View Corridor Job that he is working on. He did a fabulous job! The picture is blurry. I was sitting clear in the back. I am so grateful for a hard working husband. I always feel bad for him that he gets up every day at 5:45 AM. I am soooo not a morning person, and I am so grateful that Wynn does that for our family.

We met up with Wynn's buddy from High School. Thanks Dave and Claire for a great night.

We went sledding!

Chandler had his first sledding experience on Saturday, and he loved it! I was a little worried because he's kind of a baby, but we are realizing that most of his babiness is mainly sensitivity. He wasn't scared at all! and even starting going on his own after a few runs with us. He even went on his stomach and on his back head first! I was amazed. I hadn't purchased any snow clothes for him this year because I thought that he was still a little young and not enjoy it, but I was wrong. We put tons of layers on him to make sure he was warm! He new the drill of grabbing the sled and trying with all his strength to walk back up the hill. He would get a little distracted inhaling the snow on his way up. He wouldn't stop eating the snow! It was hilarious. such a fun and memorable day. It made me think of the fun times my family had sliding down diamond field jack!

then we came home to a glass of egg nog, or in Chandler's words "e-dog!" He loves this stuff!

Exciting month of January

January is such a dull month! And I think that many people would agree with me. I'm done with this freezing weather now that Christmas is over. Christmas came and went too quickly and now we continue on through the dullest month of 2011! But, I have kept myself happy and busy playing with my little boy. Chandler is so fun these days, and he seriously can't get enough of his toys right now. We got him a train set as a late Christmas gift, and returned one of his other gifts for car figurenes from the movie "Cars". He is so obsessed with those two things along with dinosaurs....never-ending! we sit and watch the movie "Cars" almost everyday together, and we play with his trains and dinosaurs everyday!

AND.....he is OBSESSED with yogurt!!! 24-7!!!

Holiday Happenings

This past week has been a crazy but way fun week. My sister-in-law Natalie and her two boys flew in from Chicago this last week and has stayed with us for a few days. It has been fun having them in our home, and Chandler loved having Dillon and Wesley play with him. AND I totally benefit with them playing together because they wear him out, and then Chandler sleeps in until 9:30 or 10:00 the next morning! I have such cute nephews.

On Saturday evening, I went to the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert with David Archuleta. I went with Natalie, her sister Brittany, and my brother Luke (and yes, they are dating!) It was such a fabulous concert and a great way to start the Christmas week! And I have to admit, David Archuleta was pretty amazing! I am grateful for this great evening I had with some of my family and I know that I was touched with the Christmas Spirit. I hope that you all have a Merry Christmas!

We went to our ward Halloween Party on Saturday evening. It was so fun to take a little penguin with us! Chandler was acting so funny with it on and thought he was somethin' else! He loved it. We had a great dinner with soups and breads, and then went trunk or treating around the church.

Oh, how I love the month of October. the crisp feeling in the air, hot chocolate in the mornings and evenings, the pumpkin patches on every corner, all the houses on the street decked out with pumpkins, hay-bells, and corn stalks! All the fun Halloween candy, and (my personal weakness), the fall M&M's!! These are just some reasons of why I love October! AND, not to mention, that this IS my birthday month too!! I will always love my mom for giving birth to me 3 days before Halloween! It has always been a fun birthday celebration with the spooky ghosts and goblins, and witches on their broomsticks knocking on doors! This month always goes by way too fast!
On Monday night, we soaked in a little bit of October by walking through Gardner Village. It was so fun! They kind of made it a WITCHES theme. On every corner, they had life-sized witches that looked so cool! The whole place was all lit up for Halloween, it was definitely a night to remember! They also had a little petting zoo for kids, which Chandler loved! (although, I'm not sure it was worth the 2 ear infections and breathing treatments that followed this night). .....SO FUN!

We finally had some new family pictures taken by a good friend of ours. For some reason, I couldn't upload all of them onto my blog, so this is just a peek of some of them. There will be more to come. I think we were able to get a few good ones, even with Chandler not cooperating at all! But, I guess I was kind of expecting it too. I truly do love my two boys!

Birthday Boy

This cute little boy had a birthday in September! He turned 2, which I still can't believe. It is such a bittersweet feeling when your own kids grow up. I love the little boy that Chandler is becoming and I love to see his little personality come out more every day, although I get emotional thinking about how fast the time goes by and how he is not a little baby anymore. But of course, he will always be MY baby! We had a great weekend with a lot of my family. I was so happy to have all of them in my home. It doesn't happen very often and I was so grateful that have them all over. The main reason they were all here was because we all had tickets to see Lion King. It was so so good! Both Wynn and I loved it! My wonderful mom stayed home and watched Chandler and his twin cousins. I'm hoping my mom still loves them even after spending a whole day with them by herself! Thanks again!

Bryce Canyon 2010!!

We wanted to take advantage of Wynn's Labor Day holiday, so we decided to go camping! We went with Wynn's brother, Andy and his family. We wished that we had more family there but we had a great time. We ended up going to Bryce Canyon and it truly was beautiful. We hiked down the canyon, swam at a reservoir, and ate lots of hot dogs and smores!! Chandler loved every minute of being outside and bathing in dirt!!! He loves his little cousins and we are so grateful to live close by them!

Chandler LOVES his daddy lately. Every morning when he wakes up, he cries for daddy. I think sometimes he's a little disappointed to see me open his door. He looks at me and then says "Daddy?" He is definitely daddy's little helper around our house. He loves to work outside every time Wynn is outside. He also loves to wear Daddy's construction hat while working!! Oh, what cute constructions workers! And I also have to thank my hubby for all the hard work he has been doing outside in our "dirt" yard. even though it may look like it hasn't changed at all since we've moved in, he HAS done a lot!! I truly appreciate you and all you do!!

Lagoon 2010

We went to Lagoon this week! It was very last minute planning, but thanks to Andy and Kayla we all went and had a great time! When we pulled up in the parking lot, Chandler saw the big white roller coaster and said really loud, "E-Slide!!" He loved every minute we were there, especially the carousel with all the animals! Wynn and I were able to spend the evening there together without Chandler and hit all the big scary rides! It was so much fun and it felt like I was back in junior high again, being wild and having FUN! Oh, but don't worry, I suffered a major headache that evening, but it was worth it!

My cute husband finally got his company truck!!! His dream has come true! He is so happy to call it, "his truck, no one elses!!" All of the other trucks are Ford F150's, whereas this is a Dodge. This will be his truck to drive until they order more Fords from the factory. they apparently ran out and are putting another order which could take another few months. The keys to this truck were handed to him today!! I have a very happy husband and I am so proud of him for the hard work he does for me and our little family. We are still so grateful that we got this job with Kiewit. Wynn is enjoying more each day as he progresses in the work. I love him so much and am grateful for a hardworking, cute husband. Congrats babe!

SORRY! I know everyone:) has just been dying to see an update on my blog! Well, this is the update. We bought a house!! We have been here for a little over a month and we absolutely love it. It has taken a little bit to adjust to this space and to make it feel like home. These are pictures of the main level only. If you will please notice my walls, I have just finished painting the whole main level. Once I have the upstairs done, I will post pictures. I am slowly trying to get this home decorated, but I am struggling a bit with what I have and these big walls. I need help!!...(hint,hint...mom!!)
Wynn and I feel truly blessed to call this place our home! Although,if you notice our beautiful yard.....ya, we have lots and lots of work ahead of us. but besides that, we love our home.

Big Big OUCH!

Chandler usually has way too much fun at his cousins house. They have everything and anything that we don't! He loves to play with all 4 of his silly Jones cousins. They have a big yard with lots or toys, a dog, 13 rats (which we don't even come close to touching!)and the latest is 7 chickens with a new chicken run!....and did I mention the trampoline?? Chandler really loves their tramp. Although he thinks that he's a big boy and can jump all by himself. I let go of him one time....and that did it all! I have never seen a goose egg so huge!!! I almost started crying myself when I saw what I had done to my child. These pictures were later that evening so it had gone down just a little. Let's just say he slept really well that evening!! Sorry Chandler.

District Meeting 2010

This post is a little late, but we had the Annual Kiewit District Meeting in January, held in Phoenix. Wynn was selected to give a presentation on his project that he is currently working on in front of the whole district which included about 400 employees and their spouses. He did an excellent job! We then had a little fun in the evenings with the activities provided. Each night was a different theme. The picture below was the las vegas night where they had some fun (and fake) gambling going on and other stations of games such as the Wii. It was an enjoyable weekend and fun getaway from the cold!

Saturday night I was able to go out with my hubby to a Jazz game. One of Wynn's co-workers had a few extra tickets. I had never been to a Jazz game before and it was way fun. Thanks to Uncle Greg for babysitting Chandler! It was a nice getaway for the evening. I was actually more entertained by the Jazz bear squirting everyone in the audience with silly string than the actual game. But the game was entertaining too. I am starting to feel like and am getting the true experience of a Utahn!! GO JAZZ!!

Why is it that I can NEVER get a cute picture of the two of us. obviously, Wynn loves to take pictures and he is extremely photogenic!! He truly is a cute guy!!

Hello bloggers! It has been way too long since I posted last. I really hate to admit this, but I'm not the greatest at updating my blog, but I appreciate all you other bloggers that do!

We had a great holiday amongst both the Chandler family and Jones family. It kept us very busy hopping from the two families, but we are grateful to see everyone all at once!

Wynn is continuously busy with work. He is on the Mountain View Corridor Project right now. They are in the process of switching office locations and eventually start on this project. Wynn has been involved a lot with the estimating and structuring of this future freeway. We are so grateful to have this job at this time. Wynn enjoys it more and more as he progresses with Kiewit. We will be flying to Phoenix next weekend for the Kiewit District Meeting and I am excited to go with him.

Chandler is growing everyday it seems like. Since he has graduated from a soft sippy cup to a hard one, I realize that NOW, he is really not a baby anymore. He likes to talk a lot, although most of the time I have no idea what he is trying to say, but I pretend. Lately he has been referring to himself as "Bubba." I'm not sure why he is calling himself that, but I think I'm ok with it. His favorite toy these days is the fridge. He stands by the fridge ALL DAY LONG! If he gets mad, he runs to the fridge. If he is happy,...he runs to the fridge. Only sometimes does he want his milk from the fridge, but mostly, he wants to play with everything inside the fridge. Oh, what fun it is!!

Lights on Temple Square

I was recently put in the Young Women's Presidency, and I love it! Sometimes it's weird to think about me being their leader because I feel like I am still in Young Womens. But then when I actually do the math, it was some 7 years ago....crazy to think about. We have a pretty small group, but they are so fun and I feel like I am starting to build some friendships with all of them. For mutual last night, we went and saw the Christmas lights on Temple Square. BEAUTIFUL! I can't remember the last time I had walked around Temple Square at this time of year. It was so fun and there is definitely a sweet spirit there as you walk and see the beautiful lights and manger scenes from all over the world. I had wished that Wynn was with me last night, but I'm sure that we will go back soon since we live so close. I am so grateful for temples and the beauty they display all over the world.

Trick-or-Treat!...from the Turtle

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Isn't this the cutest turtle you have ever seen? We took him to our ward's Trunk-or-Treating. Let me just say, he had so much fun walking to all the trunks and picking out his own candy. He ALWAYS had to have a piece of candy in each hand. He was so funny to watch. He was squealing and yelling walking to each trunk. And can I add that he wasn't a slow turtle! He was definitely a speedy turtle! It was so fun! I can only imagine how Halloween will be next year!

The Birthday Boy!!

It's been a year!!! Wow. I can't believe it! Today I have had so many different memories of 'what was happening this time last year!' It is so crazy how I remember everything as if it were yesterday. But at the same time, it seems like Chandler has been around for a long time too. I am so grateful to be his mommy. I love it. Although I know that I show my frustrations, especially to my husband, I wouldn't have it any other way. AND although Chandler was supposed to be my baby girl....I still wouldn't have it any other way. He is so fun these days. He is kind of a little momma's boy, and a little on the sensitive side. But of course, I love him a lot!! I thought I would post just a few pictures of his birthday last year, as well as this year!!! I love you Chanman!!!

Memories in Florida

This summer has been so crazy, but fun. I think that I have been to more states this summer than I have in the last 23 years!! It has been been way fun. We just recently got back from vacationing in Florida with the whole Jones family. Our condo was right on the beach so we were pretty much out there every day. Honestly, I can't say that I LOVE the beach, mainly because Chandler wasn't thrilled about it either. I think that he will probably like it when he is a bit older. We went on an Everglades tour that was fun. we saw lots of crocodiles. We did enjoy our time with family that we love. We are grateful to Wynn's mom for arranging this vacation!!!! We love you!

We all had to wear earplugs on the airboat because the motor was so so loud. ......of course, Chandler hated the earplugs, and his life jacket.

We had a little slumber party in the ER. Due to the humidity, Chandler was having a really hard time breathing. This was part of the trip that wasn't very fun.

Wynn and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary on Monday. It's amazing how fast time flies!!! I am so grateful to have shared these past 2 years with Wynn and I look forward to many, many more wonderful years with him! I love you Wynn!

4th of July weekend

We had a great 4th of July weekend! We went camping up Farmington Canyon with Wynn's brothers, Andy and his family, and also Greg. It was our first time camping with Chandler. He did awesome!! Wynn was pretty excited to take his little boy camping, although he probably won't remember his first camp out. We then watched fireworks over at Andy and Kayla's and grandma Jones surprised all of us. It was fun to have her for the holiday.

Vegas and Chicago

Our family took a weekend getaway to Las Vegas with some friends over Memorial Weekend. We stayed at the Embassy Suites Hotel and it was way fun!! Then shortly after that little trip, Chandler and I flew out to Chicago to visit Aaron and Nan. I am so glad I had the opportunity to go visit. We did some fun things there. I really enjoyed visiting them! Thanks Aaron and Nan!!

Mother's Day BBQ

We celebrated mother's day with Wynn's brother Andy and his family. The boys prepared a little barbeque dinner and it was yummy!! Thanks Wynn for a wonderful mother's day. I am so grateful for mother's day, not only to celebrate my motherhood, but to also to feel extremely grateful for the mother that I have. This is a late post I realize, but I truly am grateful for my mother and I wouldn't know how to be a mother without her.

Wynn and I graduated in April from BYU-Idaho. We really enjoyed our time spent in Rexburg, although we were ready for a change! So we moved to an apartment in Bountiful, Utah. So far we have really liked our surroundings. Wynn has been working his new job for almost three weeks now. It has been a huge adjustment for Wynn working, but it has also been a good adjustment as well. These pictures are kind of random, but they are most recent of Chandler. He is so fun these days. He smiles at everyone and lately he has been talking a lot and making new sounds. He is over 7 months now and he's still a chunk!!! but we love him!!!

Utah Trip

Just this last weekend, we spent the weekend in Utah to support Wynn's brother, Andy at the Benefit Concert for the African Heartwood Project. You can get more info on it at africaheartwoodproject.org. We also celebrated Wynn's 24th birthday. It was overall a good day. He was sick the day before, which was not fun, but he was feeling better on his birthday. Here are a few pictures!

Chandler has been enjoying his new exer-saucer toy! Everytime I sit him in it, he looks at the toys like he's never seen them before. It is so fun to see his overwhelmed face going from one toy to the next. He also loves to bounce in the saucer. As much as I think that he likes it....I think that I LOVE it. It gives me a break from holding him, because Chandler doesn't love the floor that much. Wynn and I were discussing how this toy is more for the parents than for the child. In many ways...it's so true!!!

We also purchased a new high chair recently and finally purchased a new stroller that we were needing so bad!! We love it!! So Chandler has been a bit spoiled this past month, but all I can say is...it's about time!!

Cali Trip 2009!

Just this last month, Wynn had the opportunity to go to Kiewit's annual district meeting held in California. NO, he doesn't work there yet, but there is a position for him when he graduates this April. They invited him to attend to get to know the company just a little bit more. Wynn was also recognized at the meeting as a new member of the Kiewit Team for 2009! It was quite exciting. We stayed at the Huntington Beach Hiatt Resort. It was very beautiful and warm!! It was a fun getaway from Ice-berg!! Rexburg! It was kind of funny that we came back from the trip sunburnt. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Chandler is now 4 months tomorrow, but we just picked up his 3 month pictures that were taken a few weeks ago. I am quite shocked at how good they turned out. He was extremely grumpy that day and I almost cancelled. But wow, he must of really liked the photographer! I can't believe how fast he is growing. Wynn and I really do enjoy this little boy.

I know this post is a little delayed, but the Chandler cousins all opened matching PJs on Christmas Eve. They were all so cute in their matching monkeys! Just a side note. My parents went from having ONE grandson...to FIVE grandsons in ONE year. yes, this last year has been a crazy one. It was so fun to have the whole family home for Christmas.

Happy Holidays to all our family and friends!! I love this time of the year. I have enjoyed all the Christmas lights, decor, and of course, the Christmas music. My husband is already sick of Christmas because I have Christmas music playing non-stop. I'm not sorry to say, I'm NOT sorry!! I love my Christmas music!

We enjoyed our time home for Thanksgiving. We also finally blessed Chandler Thanksgiving weekend. Here are a few picture updates!

Jabba The Hut #2

Jabba the Hut was my nickname when I was a baby...sadly, but true. Wynn was also a really chubby baby as well. It doesn't help that Chandler STILL eats around the clock, but he is looking quite like Jabba the Hut. He is seriously growing like a weed, except not in length...but definitely in width. We still love him though. He is now a little over 7 weeks now and is doing really well. His rash has finally cleared up, while I was back on eating dairy, so pretty sure he isn't lactose intolerant. I am so relieved!! He is smiling more and more each day and tries to talk to me. It's pretty cute.

This is the "Winnie the Pooh" mobile that is over Chandler's crib. It is the SAME mobile that Wynn had when he was a baby. His mother actually used it for all six of her children....so that would make it over 30 years old!! and it still plays the "winnie the pooh" song. It almost looks homemade....but no, it was purchased at Sears about 32 years ago. Pretty sentimental isn't it? Wynn is pretty proud of this mobile.

Weekend Fun

It's been some time since I updated our blog. Chandler is now 6 weeks old. I can't believe how fast time flies and how big Chandler is growing. He now weighs 10lbs. 14ounces already..yes he is getting fat really fast.

We had a great Halloween weekend with our good friends Chad and Rachel. Here are some pictures of Chandler in his festive outfit. He has had a really bad rash on his face, so he doesn't look the greatest right now. We took him to the doctors this weekend and he said that it is more likely an allergic reaction to dairy products. So as of now I am completely off dairy products. It has been extremely difficult because I have noticed that i eat a lot of dairy. pretty much nothing tastes good without cheese. Anyone else agree? So hopefully his rash will get better.

Halloween weekend we took Chandler out for his first swim. Surprisingly enough, he actually enjoyed it. Here are several pictures of our weekend. Enjoy.

Our Baby Has Arrived.....Wait a second......it's a BOY!?!?!

Our baby has finally arrived!! Wynn and I have been enjoying this time with our cute little child. We have prepared a cute pink little nursery to bring this baby girl home too, but as shocking as this may sound....she didn't come out a girl.......she came out a boy!!! We could not believe our eyes at the time, but he is definitely, 100% boy. He weighes 7 lbs. 15 oz. and is 20 inches long. As far as the birth story, I was induced on Tuesday evening, and at first was progessing fairly well. I then stopped progressing and was dilating at a 5 for about 5 hours. The baby was showing signs of stress and struggled to keep his heart rate up. The doctor came in and checked me yesterday at about 4:30, and informed me that I have a very narrow pelvic bone and that it was a very tight fit for the baby. They could already tell that the baby's head was a little cone-shaped for being stressed down in the birth canal for so long. He told me that he would give me one more hour, and that if I didn't progress, we would have to have a cesarean delivery. As lucky as I am, I didn't progess and was not dilating any further and the baby was in even more stress. The doctor stressed that we did cesarean right away. Afterwards, the doctor told me that there was no way that I could have delivered this baby vaginally, and that this was the only way. It is a little disappointing about my pelvic bone, but I am trying to look on the bright side of things, rather than dwelling on the negative. More than likely, all of my babies will be cesarean deliveries.

SO, we now have this precious baby boy. We were super surprised, but now that he is here, we are so happy that he is a boy and would have it no other way. Luckily, we already had a boy name picked out, Chandler Wynn Jones. Yes, you will notice his PINK pacifier in these pictures, and more than likely, he could go home in a little pink outfit because right now, that's all he's got. So enjoy these pictures, some aren't the best of him, but it's all I have for right now. I hope you all enjoy and I will post more at a later time.

40 Weeks Today...Update.

Today is the official due date of our little girl. Unfortunately, she's not really wanting to come out and is making no progress whatsoever. I saw my doctor today and once again, nothing is happening. He suggested inducing me anytime because I am not showing any sign of dilation.....and he says baby is getting big...oh no!! So as of right now, I am scheduled to be induced Tuesday evening. But here in Rexburg, where babies are popping out left and right, my appt. could easily be changed due to the small limit capacity at the hospital, so hopefully I will not get rescheduled. We are crossing our fingers!!! We have actually already been rescheduled twice now, so hopefully this is it. We will keep everyone updated!! We can only hope for the best!

Where Do I Begin?

I am realizing that I am pretty pathetic with the whole "blog-updating thing." Since my last update, so much has happened, i don't know where to start. Wynn and I are back in Rexburg and are enjoying every minute!!! We enjoyed Salt Lake, and Wynn loved his internship and experience with Kiewit, but we are happy to be back in Rexburg.

Here is Wynn, jumping all the wakes and trying to impress his wife, so he says....when little did he know....this is how he ended up...

He obviously didn't land his jump, and ended up tearing his ACL and lateral miniscus. He had surgery on his knee 2 weeks ago and is still recovering from it. He is on crutches and started his first day of physical therapy today. I haven't had my husband to take care of me....instead, me (also 9 months pregnant) have been taking care of him. It has been a challenging time for us these last few weeks, but we have also realized truly how blessed we are. We know that the Lord has been with us and has truly blessed us during this time.

I knew that I would regret this, but here I am at the end of my 38th week. Yes, I realize that I am huge. It's been interesting going around town and honestly everyone comments on my belly. comments like, "ohh...(while staring at my stomach), you must be close to having that baby." (and I say,"yes, within the next 10 days or so.")And they say, "I was gonna say, you don't look like you can go much further!".....THANKS. it's been quite interesting. Wynn and I are quite the couple right now, a huge,pregnant girl waddling next to a guy on crutches. It's been great!!

I feel huge right now, and I already know that I still have 10 weeks to grow even huger (if that's even a word..). I am scared but also very excited for these next ten weeksto begin.

Fun at Hogle Zoo

This past weekend, Wynn and I went to the Hogle Zoo with Wynn's brother (Andy) and family. I'll admit, I'm not one that could say that i love animals, but i actually enjoyed looking at all the fun and crazy animals at the zoo.

I thought that the giraffes were quite amazingly tall and very entertaining to watch. It was so funny watching them try to reach the really tall trees with their tongue. I have never seen such a long, disgusting, purple tongue. I guess it fits its body.

This is Dari the elephant. The Hogle Zoo celebrated her 48th birthday. They had a big celebration at the zoo that day. They served cupcakes and had face painting stands. The Zoo hired Andy (Wynn's brother) and his "drumming crew" to come play the drums as part of Dari's birthday celebration. They were awesome.

Earlier last week, we also went to the Second-Hand Serenade Concert with Andy, Kayla, and Greg Jones. It was a very fun night, although it got a little cold towards the end. It was enjoyable for me because listening to this band reminded me of when Wynn and I were first dating. He introduced this band to me and played them all the time. It reminded me of the fun memories we had while dating.

ELDER CHANDLER

Luke left on his mission earlier this month, May 7th to be exact. He is serving Washington DC. I had the priviledge of going with my parents to take Luke to the MTC. Let me just say, it was extremely difficult. I had already said my goodbyes to him the previous week, but then i decided to go to the MTC and say my goodbyes one last time. It was such a neat experience to go the MTC, but it wasn't fun seeing Luke cry like i've never seen before, as well as my parents. I am so proud of Luke and his strong desire to serve. He was more than ready to leave and I'm sure that he is loving every minute. These are just a few pictures I took at the MTC.

For those of you who don't know....we are expecting! we just found out this last weekend that we are having a baby girl. this is very exciting for me and my family. she will be the first "girl" grandbaby on the Chandler side. I'm sure grandma Chandler will spoil her like crazy. i have posted some pictures from the ultrasound, although i understand it is very difficult to see. the first picture is the "gender" picture...hopefully you all can see the two little lines that proves shes a girl. the second picture is a profile of her face. You can see the her arm and hand is resting on her chin...hopefully you can see it.

...New addition to the "bloggers"

so I finally sat down and started a blog for our new family. i know i am way behind all the motivated, up-to-speed mothers and wives, but i figured it's never too late! So here we are! for a quick update, Wynn and I met the summer of 2006, and were married July 20, 2007. We then lived in Rexburg where Wynn has been continuing his education in Construction Management. We've enjoyed Rexburg. Besides the cold weather, it's a pretty good place to live.

We have just recently moved to Utah where Wynn is doing his internship with Kiewit Construction. So far it has been going really well. Wynn is enjoying this company and the work that he is doing. I am working as well. i accepted a job with Arrowhead Dental Laboratory, in Sandy. it has been very different from all the previous dental jobs in the past, but i am enjoying it.

We are enjoying our time in Salt Lake City. It has been a big adjustment for the both of us, but it's also been a good change as well.
